It would be better than facing Anode's assessment and either denying it (which she will quickly realize is untrue and hound him for it) or affirming it (terrible now he has to live with this knowledge). Soundwave might be overhearing. Everyone will know how much Minimus wants Megatron to whisk him off his feet and act out a trashy romance novel.
